This site was once called "Maddafat Salama" (Salama’s Guest House), dating back to the early 14th century. It consists of 12 caves, where livestock traders would stay overnight, given that Madaba lies on the King’s Highway and the historic route between Iraq and Palestine. Now its a famous must see and experience restaurant.
